Optimum Group switches to BPA-free labels

The amendment to the law, which will come into force in 2020, states that all thermal paper sold after 2 January must be BPA (Bisphenol A) free.

Labels are often the subject of discussion these days. They must be sustainable, contribute to the health of people, animals and the environment and they must also have a beautiful appearance. At Optimum Group we find this a nice challenge! We are working daily to implement the best developments in our products. For example, in cooperation with our suppliers, we have already switched to BPA-free materials to guarantee the safety of our labels.

BPA (Bisphenol A) has traditionally been used as a colour developer for thermal labels in the retail trade. These include receipt paper and scale labels. By purchasing BPA-free material, we have an alternative to the labels usually made with BPA. The BPA-free material has been developed by our solid raw material suppliers. This new material is available both uncoated and top-coated if desired the material can also be obtained FSC certified.

Take a responsible approach with BPA-free, FSC-certified labels.
Let everyone know that you are working towards a more sustainable world with our BPA-free labels made from FSC paper. This Optimum Green product is made from sustainably sourced wood. The FSC label guarantees that we work with renewable raw materials and plants back what we use. FSC stands for transparency and forest conservation. Have the quality mark placed on your packaging! This way everyone knows that your organisation is working towards a more sustainable world.
